my new ride is here

I am getting a 2013 1000 can-am max xtp .All that's left to do is go to the bank and sign the paper work today,and pay the dealer once they issue me the money.I decided on a bunch of extras ,heated grips, skid plates , bigger bush bumper, windshield which I have to make fit because the xtp has the thicker handle bars, 27.5 pit bull tires ,and some xmr factory snorkel parts to install .It will be nice if I get before the weekend , the machine is ready for me ,just have to wait for the bank to issue the money to me.It will be nice to have some power ,and awesome trail riding handling.With those fox shocks and the pitbull tires it should be fun to ride .I love my 500 cat but with the bigger tires it just was always running out of power and speed .I could never keep up to the rest of the guy,s.

Awesome bike! honestly don't let my frame issue scare you, ride it like you stole it and if you do the only thing you will see behind you will be your dust and other Can Am's. By the way be prepared for sore arms from Hanging On for the next couple of weeks.

I have been waiting ,for some loans ,and bills to finally to be paid off ,so when it was mortgage time we had some extra room to get some new stuff at low interest rates.It is nice to be at stage in life when a person can go into manageable debit ,and enjoy life while I can afford and am still healthy enough to do it.I have seen too many friend's and co-workers save and work till they retire and buy their toys , then you find out later they passed on ,and never had a chance to enjoy every thing they saved up for.But this will be the last big purchase for at least 5 years ,can't wait till all the extras are installed ,and I can go for a ride.

I picked up the machine sat ,and started putting on the stuff so far I put on ,center,rear skid plate ,rear arm ,diff protector ,front bush bumper,I still need the front skid plate ,and mount the new tires.I was missing the front skid plate ,must still be at the dealer. We ordered it and once the tires and skid plates are done ,I still have to modify the windshield brackets to fit, maybe get to that before the weekend,going to give it test this weekend.

This is soooo true!!!
I have seen/heard of this over and over... Seems the rule of thumb is after you retire - Its 2 yrs or earlier and you are done.

Yes, the gas gauge works , I will have some pictures when the extras are all installed.I didn't realize how much better the rear arm, and diff protection actually protect. The factory stuff is garbage. I am sure glad got that stuff.

Went for a ride at the cabin this weekend ,we put on 56 miles drives nice just like a thought it would, need to trim the fenders a little more ,the tires rub on the front a little .My son had a good time driving my old quad ,he seemed happy to have his own machine to ride ,and that is what really mattered to me the most.Good weather ,nice weekend with the kid ,made for a good memory for him I hope .I will have pictures posted soon .We plan to go for another ride in a couple weeks . The only thing that sucked is going out to the cabin finding the pads locks had been cut on the shed,and the pump house.They had stole my nice husky chainsaw,bunch of a-holes.
